Who you are: 
The ideal Senior Software Engineer candidate will work in partnership with developers, business partners, Vendor resources and Project Managers to ensure successful delivery and implementation of software solutions and integration with Nordstrom Legacy systems.
 
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a team of Software Engineers in the implementation of enhancements to PIM/EPM (Product Information Master/Enterprise Product Master) and EPS (Enterprise Product Service)
  • Contribute to moving the team forward in leading edge processes like continuous integration, continuous delivery and test driven development.
  • Design and build cutting edge enterprise application using the Microsoft technology stack
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player as well as an independent performer
  • Work with defect tracking, source code control and software release systems to ensure high-quality software releases over time
  • Perform peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Accountable for timely, complete, and quality delivery of system development and deployment activities
  • Partner and foster collaboration with IT, business partners, and internal and external parties
  • Collaborate with agile teams to understand customer scenarios, analyze requirements and/or user stories to plan and determine technical approach and design   
 

 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience with .Net (C#), C++, SQL Server, XML, MVC
  • 2+ years of technical experience in an enterprise scale MS SQL Server environment 
  • 2+ years of experience in working with a diverse team of developers including offshore teams and third party vendors
  • Experience in using a variety of IT management tools such as TFS, Git, Chef, and JIRA
  • Proven experience in implementing configurable Vendor Software packages
  • Knowledge of WCF, XML, Web Oriented Architecture, and SOA frameworks desired
  • Experience with MDM (Master Data Management) solution software desired
  • Experience working in a Scrum/Agile context
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
