DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • As a Schedule Planner II for John Deere Reman, located in Springfield, MO, you will manage the day-to-day engine scheduling responsibilities and relationship between production, supply management and the scheduling team.  In addition, you will:
  •     Assume the normal duties of a schedule planner, while assuming some transitional responsibilities associated with the production control department.
  •     Schedule and coordinate engine production, including recommendations for improving production lineup, forecast analysis, and communication improvements.
  •     Monitor various production control operational reports, and give direction to others where applicable.
  •     Gain an understanding of some of the upper level scheduling practices at the factory.
  •     Support some schedule planner duties, along with project work related to SAP data analysis and coordinate training for the department.
  •     Serve to backfill for supervisors as well as represent them at critical meetings.
  •     Coordinate efforts to improve engine production scheduling, assist with order fulfillment responsibilities, and support management of inventory levels.
  
 Maintain department goals such as percent fill to the John Deere Parts Distribution System and the dealers, FLASH and backorder performance, engine same day shipment metric and inventory management.

Qualifications


We need an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally, you will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience in a related career field.  We also require:

  •     Working knowledge of SAP as it relates to Production Scheduling or Supply Management processes
  •     An understanding of Order Fulfillment Process (OFP).
  •     A high level of attention to detail and follow-up skills.
  •     An ability to work within a team environment.
  •     Strong MS Office applications (Excel and Word) skills.

Additional qualifications:

  •     Experience in Production Scheduling, Supply Management, or related area.
  •     Experience in working with OFP.
  •     Strong understanding of how MRP works.
  •     Experience in other SAP areas such as Accounting, Sales, Logistics, etc.
