Job responsibilities
- Provide Software Engineering Test and validation of John Deere's/NavCom line of GNSS receivers. (Specific areas include validation of advanced navigation algorithms, Baseband performance and configuration for all GNSS receiver testing.)
- Carry out daily tasks, create test pans and train fellow team members to understand and test GNSS receiver operation
- Work with fellow members of the Product Delivery Team to ensure desired test coverage is provided
- Actively participate in periodic bug review meetings to ensure software development and key stakeholders understand issues clearly
- Develop deep understanding of GPS/GNSS concepts and fundamentals through direct work assignments
- Understand and execute electrical aspect of cabling harnessing, wiring, pin-outs, diagrams/schematics, soldering.
- Work with hand tools and lab equipment
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Geomatics or equivalent experience in a related career field. In addition we require:
- Experience with Matlab, LabView or other software language.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong reporting/presentation skills.
- Strong MS Office skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 30%.
