Job responsibilities

• Provide Software Engineering Test and validation of John Deere's/NavCom line of GNSS receivers.  (Specific areas include validation of advanced navigation algorithms, Baseband performance and configuration for all GNSS receiver testing.) 
•     Carry out daily tasks, create test pans and train fellow team members to understand and test GNSS receiver operation
•     Work with fellow members of the Product Delivery Team to ensure desired test coverage is provided
•     Actively participate in periodic bug review meetings to ensure software development and key stakeholders understand issues clearly
•     Develop deep understanding of GPS/GNSS concepts and fundamentals through direct work assignments
•     Understand and execute electrical aspect of cabling harnessing, wiring, pin-outs, diagrams/schematics, soldering.
•     Work with hand tools and lab equipment

Qualifications

•  Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Geomatics or equivalent experience in a related career field. In addition we require:
•     Experience with Matlab, LabView or other software language.
•     Strong analytical skills.
•     Strong reporting/presentation skills.
•     Strong MS Office skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
•     Ability and willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 30%.

Additional qualifications

    MS Project and Team Foundation Server experience.
    Experience using a Source Code Control Package in a team environment in the normal course of development cycles.
