Description

 
As an Analytical Tech Support Engineer, you will provide analytical support for several forecasting solutions such as SAS Forecast Server for all operating systems and platforms. Your responsibilities might include:

• Providing support for internal and external customers.
• Prioritizing, categorizing, managing, and solving customer reported problems.
• Obtaining information to write a thorough, detailed problem description.
• Reviewing written documentation.
• Recording and managing confirmed software defects.
• Providing product feedback to development and product management.
• Building relationships with appropriate groups and individuals inside and outside Technical Support.
• Providing both formal and informal training to Technical Support staff on forecasting solutions.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 
Essential

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, econometrics, or a closely related field.
• 2 years of experience programming, software consulting, and/or supporting complex software applications.
• Experience with multiple operating systems.

Additional

• Ability to handle deadlines in a multi-task environment.
• Ability to resolve user questions through a combination of independent study, investigative programming, and collaborative effort with team members.
• Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work with people of varied technical backgrounds.
• Ability to travel on an infrequent basis.

Preferences

• Experience with SAS Forecast Server, SAS/ETS software, and/or SAS forecasting applications.
• Master’s degree(or higher) in statistics, econometrics, or a closely related field.
• Experience with SAS usage/programming and SAS technologies.
• Experience working with analytical interfaces surfaced by SAS.
• Experience with enterprise n-tier applications.
• Experience working with third party solution providers and/or ability to do the same.
