Position Purpose

JTI USA is presently seeking a District Sales Manager to become a member of our Sales team, to help support the overall strategy of the organization in the Delta District.

The district covers Monroe, Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Lake Charles in Louisiana, as well as Oklahoma City, Durant and Tulsa in Oklahoma.
 
MUST RESIDE IN LOUISIANA OR OKLAHOMA OR WILLING TO RELOCATE TO THESE AREAS.

Responsibilities


  • Ensure that assigned Sales Representatives attain objectives regarding product sale, distribution, exposure, and maintain appropriate inventory levels while respecting retail arrangements and promotional budget allocations
  • Provide field leadership through training, development and performance evaluation of Sales Representatives in his/her territory to increase productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness, and identify candidates for possible advancements.
  • Maintain consistent contact with distributors to ensure product availability and secure orders, strengthen and build customer relations and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Execute retail and wholesale promotional support activities to build brand awareness of our products to prospective customers/consumers

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of direct sales related managerial experience. Industry knowledge and FMCG organizational experience are preferred
  • Experience in selling to retailers, Wholesalers and Distributors in the Consumer Products industry is preferred.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Prior experience with Sales Force Automation systems would be a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated strong work ethic.
