Apple is looking for a Senior Business Analyst with experience in data
mining, some statistical techniques, and web analytics to join its WW HR
Analytics team. The candidate for this role will have a combination of
business acumen and technical knowledge, and will be a thought-leader to
help drive the reporting strategy, while at the same time being
hands-on with data analysis, presentations, and problem-solving.
Key Qualifications
- 5 - 10 years relevant experience
- Demonstrated technical database knowledge (Oracle) and recent experience running and optimizing SQL queries on large data
- An affinity for data, with the ability to drill down to find trends and make recommendations
- Passionately analytical and curious
- Thinks outside the box on how to deliver metrics
- Able to develop and present conclusions on analysis to senior executives
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Works effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Proficient with Excel
- Self motivated individual able to work well independently and as part of a team
Description
Design,
develop and implement reporting and analytical solutions to support
people leadership, management and executive decision making. Work with
the HR Tech team to drive solution development to better support
business analytics. Partner with Apple's leadership across the company
to understand what makes each department unique in order to build the
right teams. This requires a high intellect, curious individual who can
assess needs and give insights to create strategic people-oriented
solutions, all the while, nurturing the Apple culture. You will use your
technical experience and expertise along with your business acumen and
analytical skills to help the teams with their staffing models,
forecasting needs, developing tools to provide better reporting
capabilities, analyzing programs, to ensure that we make data-driven
decisions. You'll work closely with all the HR teams as well as the
business teams to lead action-oriented analyses and recommendations. You
will also provide regular reports on trends inside and outside Apple.
You will execute qualitative and quantitative research and deliver
analyses that translates data into key insights and actionable
recommendations.
Education
BS or equivalent, MS/MBA preferred; Or equivalent practical experience.
Additional Requirements
Some experience with web analytics preferred
Experience with Business Objects reporting or a similar tool is a plus
Experience in HR is a plus
