Principal Project Manager - Portfolio Management & OperationsMain Purpose of the Position:
This individual will be responsible for leading complex cross-functional business needs and process improvement projects within the Site Services organization and will provide process analysis, design, optimization and strategy recommendations to functional business leaders and Site Services leadership team. In this role the individual will act as a change agent and facilitator bringing together key stakeholders from both within Site Services and interfacing customer groups to deliver value-add sustainable solutions. This person will be a cultural steward for the Site Services principles and will work to implement them as standards of performance. In the role the individual will utilize proven operational excellence methodologies and tools such as LEAN, 5S, Six Sigma to lead business process change projects as needed within the Site Services organization. Projects may include process re-engineering, cultural initiatives, OE initiatives, Business operations (i.e. budgets, goals, employee development, leadership development, and training), technology or other areas as required.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead function and cross functional teams for business and process improvements.
- Implement practical and sustainable business processes.
- Deliver project goals on budget and on schedule.
- Work with project owners, stakeholders and key contributors to establish customer needs. Develop needs into approved project charters
- Analyze business, process and systems performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Make recommendations to senior management based on business case and analyses.
- Play a lead role in educating others internally and/or externally on key trends, dynamics and other developments or factors that influence current and/or future Site Services strategies, plans, activities and resources.
- Support decision making process through development and application of appropriate project decision making tools.
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders and senior management regarding progress, issues, constraints and resolutions for projects.
- Identify and implement industry, company and group best practices best-practice methodologies, processes, systems, tools, metrics and other resources to optimize program/project success through project management methodologies.
- Utilize process improvement methodologies to positively effect business operations. Further adoption of standard processes within Site Services functional organizations.
- Play a lead role in educating others internally and/or externally on key trends, dynamics and other developments or factors that influence current and/or future Site Services strategies, plans, activities and resources.
- Effectively and efficiently monitor, report on and otherwise control program/project activities, interdependencies, risks, barriers, other challenges or issues or opportunities (includes preparing and delivering various senior management presentations or reports on summary departmental activities, progress and results and/or strategic or complex issues).
- Provide support for special projects including efficiency, strategic analysis, and organizational fitness activities and change management.
- Partner closely with stakeholders and customers to collaborate, influence and execute on project and Business Process Excellence across the entire Site Services organization.
- Prioritize the overall Site Services IT Solution management and roadmap including maintenance and enhancements. Develop a consistent stage gate review process to ensure all projects are set for realization of their intent and sponsorship.

- Drive self and others to ensure all assigned programs, projects and other deliverables are consistently completed on-time, on-target and within-budget
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best-practice methodologies, processes, systems, tools, metrics and other resources to optimize program/project success and return on investment.
- Support senior management and decision-makers in driving decisions and completing projects through influencing leadership and negotiation. These projects could relate to staffing, business, portfolio activities, contracts and meeting deadlines - critical in keeping special projects on task. Partner with group functions in strategy setting design planning, scope solutions and identify performance measurements to executing recommendations.
Who You Are
Qualifications: Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:- Education: Science, Engineering, or Business BS/BA or 10+ years of business/operations experience. MBA or other related graduate-level degree a plus.
- Project Management and Process Improvement Experience: minimum of 10 years. Range of small (>3 months) to large (> 12 month) successful project management experience.
- Certification/expertise in PMP, LEAN, Six Sigma, 5S or other process improvement methodology
- Demonstrate outstanding knowledge and proven application of best practice project or program management; includes considerable previous experience with cross-functional problem-solving and developing and implementing effective and efficient change management strategies and plans.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite, e.g., MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
