Providing HR leadership and support for the Canton, Ohio Business Center. This individual will be partnering with managers and their teams to develop and implement stgrategic HR initiatives to achieve organization effectiveness.
  • Providing leadership, direction and expertise for the full scope of HR functions including
    employee relations, compensation, engagement and organizational design and change.
  • Assist in developing client relationships with associates and managers to include: providing
    guidance to employee development, workplace instructions, legal interpretations, and other
    practices related opportunities.
  • Facilitates conflict resolution and crisis intervention.
  • Counsel managers on performance appraisals and all corrective actions within client group.
  • Identifies causes and develops strategies to reduce turnover.
  • Participates in non-exempt and exempt staffing efforts for client group.
  • Consults with local managers on making risk-based decisions.
  • May participate in Process Improvement initiatives and company wide task forces.
  • Provides a vehicle for associates to discuss a variety of opportunity areas or concerns on
    items such as performance, attendance, compensation, disability, tuition assistance, leaves of
    absence, etc.
  • Assists in departmental training to include the development and training of modules such as;
    Equal Employment, Workforce Diversity, Work & Family Initiatives, Fair Employment Practices,
    Sexual Harassment Prevention, and Employment Law.
  • Facilitate meetings, feedback sessions, focus groups etc.
  • Attend unemployment hearings and conduct investigations, and prepares responses, as
    necessary, on all charges/concerns related to Sexual Harassment, Integrity Violations, EEO and
    Discrimination within client group.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by Sr. HR Managers and Client Managers.
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree
  • 4+ years of HR generalist experience with heavy emphasis on employee relations and strong
    working knowledge of employment laws.
  • Expertise in HR functional areas including recruiting/talent assessment, performance
    management, career development, reward and recognition programs.

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or Business Related Field
  • HR Experience including driving employee initiatives such as training / mentoring programs
  • A minimum of 12-months experience working with remote/virtual teams
  • Experience within financial services. Experience with private label credit cards or bank credit
    cards preferred.
  • HR Generalist experience in manufacturing
  • HR Generalist experience in call center
  • Experience working in a large union or non-union environment supporting non-exempt
    population
  • Experience working in a Remittance Processing environment
  • Experience with regulations such as OFCCP audits, EEOC Complaints and resolutions and
    AAP reporting
  • Previous GE experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive HR processes and to deliver high quality HR services in a fast
    paced, high change environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large projects and to motivate others.
  • Strong skills at building relationships with various levels in an organization. Excellent verbal
    and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and multi tasking skills.
  • Strong facilitation, influencing and conflict resolution skills
  • Previous HR Sales Support experience a plus
  • Previous experience in creating Sales Incentive Compensation plans
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Eligibility

  • Graduate from the GE Human Resource Leadership Program (HRLP) program graduate
  • Master's degree in Business or Human Resources
