The Lead Flight Management System Engineer will perform analysis and evaluate design choices for GE’s growing avionics product line. This individual will have the opportunity to work with internal and external customers on design elements.
Essential Responsibilities	In addition you will: Evaluate and translate customer requirements Perform analysis to determine the best design solutions Write system level requirements and verify expected operation Assist in developing the best avionics solutions for both civil and military applications Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements Write and verify system requirements for Flight Management Systems Provide technical guidance, direction and training to new and experienced engineers and students Lead others in defining project scope Develop practical or innovative approaches to meet goals Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures Identify, evaluate, and occasionally develop engineering tools and processes necessary to meet the project's engineering and business goals
Qualifications/Requirements	Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university Minimum of 6 years of experience as a systems or software engineer developing ground or airborne avionics systems ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: This position requires access to controlled technology. To abide by Export Compliance regulations candidates must have either US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident Alien Status
