This role will provide direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning in the Marine & Industrial plant during a period of unprecedented growth.
In addition, you will:
  • Support and meet production schedules, driving productivity, and quality initiatives, and manage the areas within budget guidelines and controls
  • Determine the proper manufacturing processes for assembly, machining, inspection, and test of required components
  • Support all initiatives of compartment assembly areas, such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing
  • Encourage and maintain a safe work environment
  • Schedule, resolve issues, track availability, and advise regarding materials
  • Design and implement processes and systems for control and replenishment of materials
  • Promote customer satisfaction and develop positive customer relationships
  • Be responsible for attaining all aspects of production operation including safety, scheduling, quality, lean, and team development in assigned areas
  • Provide direction, leadership, and material support for assigned production area
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University (or a High School Diploma / GED and a minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience in a leadership role)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in assembly or sub-assembly process improvements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Prior supply chain process and product knowledge
  • Knowledge of safety agency regulations
