Job Summary & Responsibilities
Duties: Perform analyses of Firm’s business processes within Technology division to assess efficiencies and to identify opportunities for re-engineering, automation and risk reduction. This includes distributed, storage, network and data center and infrastructure services across all logical and physical activities performed in the data center. Recommend technology solutions aligned with the functional architecture. Coordinate full project lifecycles and ensure successful completion of the various software development life cycle (SDLC) phases including due diligence and scoping, use case definition, system design specification, development, integration testing using functional and operational test cases, production roll-out and user training. Analyze financial strategies for technology implementation across infrastructure components. Perform data analysis and build financial models to assess the commercial value of technology investments. Coordinate the process of project portfolio management, budgeting and fiscal management processes for a global team.Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
Job Requirements: Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in an Engineering and/or Management discipline focusing on Operations Research or Systems Engineering or a related discipline plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related Business Analyst role with financial analysis, data analysis and process reengineering experience. Must have three (3) years of Financial Modeling & Technology Business Management experience, including: analyzing financial strategies for technology implementation across compute, network and voice infrastructure components; performing data analysis and build Total Cost of Ownership, Return on Investment, Net Present Value models to assess the commercial value of technology investments; providing technologists with chargeback and cost recovery models to clearly communicate the Value of IT and leverage the Value of IT transparency to optimize costs, influence technology consumption and incentivize user behavior; coordinating the process of budgeting and fiscal management processes for a global team. This includes clarifying business drivers and scope, identify stakeholders and create communication plans; with MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint and designing databases. Must have three (3) years of Technical Skills & Industry experience, including: enterprise applications, IT Infrastructure & Operations, Systems monitoring and Management tools; business analysis, problem solving, influencing, and leadership skills; IT service management practices such as Change and Incident management in order to ensure that changes to IT infrastructure are implemented in a controlled, standardized and efficient manner, and minimize the impact of any related incidents; interacting with senior technologists and be able to drive and report progress, staffing needs and important issues to senior management across multiple major projects and defines cross project dependencies in order to achieve project goals. Must have one (1) year of Solution Development & Business Analysis experience, including: developing work process and systems studies, feasibility studies; cost/benefit analysis, implementation planning and recommend solutions aligned with the functional architecture; SDLC methodology: coordinate full project lifecycle and ensure successful completion of due diligence and scoping, system design specification, development, integration testing using functional and operational test cases, production roll-out and user training; partnering with engineering, development and operational teams to re-engineer processes to provide operational efficiency via automation, reduce operational risk, improve productivity and manage scale; Business Process Model principles, use of process modeling tools such as TIBCO or Visio for design specifications.
