Job Summary & Responsibilities
Duties: Develop, test, and support Java-based technical solutions that support the Firm’s Derivative Reporting Services. Responsible for overall Java server side and front end development work using J2EE, Unix scripting, Sybase/DB2, Perl and various web technologies. Lead projects throughout the development lifecycle, by gathering requirements, performing technical analysis, and designing and implementing software solutions.Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or Information Systems plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related Programmer analyst /Software Developer role. Must have five (5) years of: software implementation experience using core Java, J2EE and Unix scripting; and database development experience using either Sybase or DB2. Must have three (3) years of: web development experience using Html and Javascript frameworks (including Sencha and JQuery); all aspects of the software development life cycle, as well as architectural design of scalable high throughput software products; Spring, Hibernate, Quartz scheduling, Messaging (including JMS), Java transactions (JTA), Web application servers (including Tomcat), and Build tools (including Maven and Ant); Agile development methodology; and financial industry experience, specifically in real time/close of business reporting of financial instruments.
