As a member of the GE Capital Identity Governance team, the Architect will demonstrate leadership in aligning business goals with solution direction across the global IdG infrastructure. They will work closely with both functional teams and IT stakeholders to drive the next generation Identity Management and Compliance platform. Person will utilize expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect long-term business goals.
  • Responsible for bringing an understanding of the enterprise, business system and industry to the team(s) supporting or interfacing with an application
  • Leads analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation, implementation, maintenance of IT solutions focusing on architecture across product lines / platforms and provides expertise in the business process supported by the application
  • Facilitates detailed application technical design and enforces adherence to GE design and security standards
  • Creates design documents such as activity diagrams, data flow diagrams, user interface and interface mappings
  • Leads build vs. buy activities, always looking to leverage existing functionality
  • Responsible for project management, technical architecture design, physical design, technology strategy, managing contractors, and budgets and will play a key role in engaging many parts of the information technology staff and peers to insure a successful rollout of GE Capital’s next generation Global Identity Governance platform
  • Work with other GE Capital businesses across the globe to develop, apply and align Identity Governance standards and best practices
  • Lead contractors to build capabilities and tools that allow for multiple GE Capital businesses to utilize a single Identity Governance platform with delegated administration
  • Serve as key member of the Oracle Identity Management implementation team, providing leadership in detailed design architecture and implementation analysis that will identify requirements related to people, processes and technology
  • Serve as technical expert responsible for the design and implementation of an assigned applications area(s), which supports client and/or business objectives and plans
  • Assist or lead in the definition of systems solutions to functional problems, conforming to established system architecture standards and practices
  • Participate in business process evaluation/improvement activities, requirements gathering, system analysis, system design, software / hardware applicability studies and system implementation and executes projects based on these activities
  • Provide input into the technology plan for the IT organization, and ensure that plans for their assigned applications integrate effectively with other aspects of the technical infrastructure
  • Advise management on application and supporting technology purchases and on future projects or environment upgrades / modifications
  • Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or minimum 4 years of work experience) with minimum 2 years of IT experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with project management
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Identity Management and / or Information Security Access Control
  • Minimum 2 years of experience developing technology solutions for regulated industry

  • Experience with LDAP, Active Directory, MetaDirectory products, ETL tools, Unix/Linux Operating Systems, and other Enterprise Technology platforms (Oracle ERP, SAP, Siebel, etc) preferred
  • Solid understanding of Identity Management (IDM), Single Sign On (SSO) and security concepts
  • Experience with the design and architecture of SUN and Oracle Identity Management products desirable
  • Strong communication / leadership skills
  • Experience in designing, implementing and architecting global, large-scale applications
  • Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working with vendors to carry out proof of concepts and design discussions.
  • Demonstrated understanding of IAM business processes
  • Experience presenting solutions and research to executives and stakeholders
  • Experience working with Industry Analysts (Gartner, Forrester, etc) to leverage their knowlege and resources to assist in project and migration planning
