IT Specialist (Job Number: 1317077)

Description

SCM subject matter expert who provides technical and/or business guidance to the SCM team as well as other groups. Reports directly to Team Manager or Manager. Analyzes systems requirements. May review SCM plans and SCM scripts/programs. Participates in and/or conducts SCM product/application reviews. Supports product migrations through all systems environments. Provides technical leadership and expertise with regard to SCM activities. May interact directly with clients regarding project activities. Interacts with varied levels of management and development groups in support of the SCM effort. May programmatically manipulate data and output. May oversee SCM functions. May be an SCM expert in a Pershing system or area. Monitors and reviews software/hardware requirements and systems defects. To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Knowledge of securities industry and/or related financial services experience. Strong planning and project organization skills. Negotiation, decision-making, problem solving, influencing skills. Broad knowledge of the firm and key functions. Strong judgment and leadership skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in high pressure, high volume environment. Effectively use Microsoft Office applications and PC proficiency in Windows-based programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related discipline is preferred; an advanced degree is a plus, along with at least three to five years of experience in a systems SCM environment, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
