Responsibilities
•Supervises the day to day activities of the IT Infrastructure and Service Desk teams. Total number to range from 8 to 15 employees. The team supports 1400+ users in multiple domestic and international sites.
•Manages the information technology infrastructure support function and the Service Desk for Fluid Control.
•Executes the annual IT Infrastructure plans to ensure reliability, availability and security of IT infrastructure using a standardized and integrated approach to IT management.
•Ensures the Service Desk meets business expectations for performance and user support. Manages the infrastructure team, Service Desk team and other contracted resources to ensure cost effective and reliable IT infrastructure and Service Desk operations.
•Manages the information technology infrastructure support function and the Service Desk for Fluid Control.
•Executes the annual IT Infrastructure plans to ensure reliability, availability and security of IT infrastructure using a standardized and integrated approach to IT management.
•Ensures the Service Desk meets business expectations for performance and user support. Manages the infrastructure team, Service Desk team and other contracted resources to ensure cost effective and reliable IT infrastructure and Service Desk operations.
Main Tasks
•Coordinates the activities of the local Infrastructure support teams.
•Sets team objectives and guidelines.
•Manages project responsibilities and individual performance to the objectives. Develops and maintains IT Customer support processes.
•Manages adherence to SOX controls and the completion of verification testing.
•Ensures business systems, supporting infrastructure and Service Desk all operate reliably, meeting business requirements.
•Manages the day-today desktop, Infrastructure management and support process. Reviews daily reports of open desktop tickets and work orders to ensure growing issues are resolved as quickly as possible.
•Creates and maintains an open and supportive work environment and ensures that team members understand business goals and needs, that progress is made to enhance customer communication with IT and that department goals are met.
•Works with the IT Manager to perform the human resource functions of the team including hiring and firing, salary and job change actions, counseling and coaching team members.
•Models and teaches problem solving, creative thinking and planning skills to less experienced staff.
•Manages team project responsibilities and tracks and monitors individual performance, quality of output and impact of output on project delivery and satisfaction of end user.
•Develops and tracks personnel objectives and coordinates career growth process by recommending training and development opportunities.
•Directs the day-to-day activities related to the deployment of desktop and infrastructure hardware and software as dictated by business needs and annual IT plans.
•Reviews current and pending issues and works to resolve and expedite resolution.
•Develops and maintains IT related customer support processes and procedures to provide timely and efficient customer support.
•Continually reviews and improves existing processes.

Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems is required.
•Five to ten years of related experience is required with specific knowledge of IT infrastructures, business systems and Service desk environments. Requires experience in information technology industry diverse disciplines (e.g., hardware, software, operating systems, telecommunications/networks, and application development and support).
•Demonstrated high level of people skills and communication skills to interact with all levels of management, to report project status to management and end users, to lead and manage project teams and direct the work of others and to resolve complex and sensitive issues.
•Requires a very high level of analytical skills to identify, define, interpret, and explain computing issues and resolve conflicting contractual, policy, financial, or technical problems.
•A substantial level of innovation is required to develop management tools, models, systems and processes.
•A very high level of leadership and supervisory skills are required with the ability to motivate a diverse group of people not under his/her direct control in order to manage day-to-day desktop and infrastructure support activities and lead multiple simultaneous projects in a fast paced, complex environment.
