at www.moodys.com The Associate Analyst 2 on Moody's Not-For-Profit
Healthcare Team will serve primarily in a support capacity assisting
lead analysts and managers with analytical resource within the team and
across the department. The Associate Analyst 2 role requires an
experienced analyst with strong credit experience and team-building
skills. Core responsibilities include evaluating the ratings on a wide
variety of enterprise bonds by applying quantitative and qualitative
techniques; exercising sound credit judgment; supporting
research efforts; accumulating in-depth knowledge of Moody's
methodologies and local market practices within the rated portfolio; and
collaborating with teammates and other Public Finance Group associates.
Strong credit and technical skills are essential, notably
an evidenced ability to interpret financial statements; calculate credit
ratios; perform and articulate trend analysis; and to understand key
documents such as bond indentures, credit agreements, and legal
organization charts. The Associate Analyst 2 may also be responsible for
helping to train new hires and providing analytical and process-related
assistance to other team members. Excellent time management skills
are required. Clear and concise oral and written communications skills
are essential. Keen attention to detail and an ability to innovate and
maintain administrative processes is highly desirable. * Bachelor's
degree required * MBA/MPA or similar degree preferred; absent that,
several years of related work experience * 1-2 years of relevant work
experience in credit analysis, financial markets and/or government
administration; accounting and financial forecasting experience also
helpful * Excellent writing and presentation skills are necessary,
along with a quantitative aptitude and credit analysis experience *
A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, meet deadlines and
handle multiple assignments simultaneously is important *
Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is also required
Moody's Not-For-Profit Healthcare Ratings team is located in
multiple geographic offices throughout the U.S. and is responsible for
the accurate and timely assignment and monitoring of credit ratings for
single and multi-state hospitals and related Healthcare issuers. The
team is part of Moody's US Public Finance Department, which is
responsible for all credit ratings in the Not-For-Profit sectors,
Healthcare, Higher Education, Housing, US state and local government
sectors. MIS and MSS Candidates are asked to disclose securities
holdings pursuant to Moody's Policy for Securities Trading. Employment
