at www.moodys.com The Associate Analyst 2 supports senior corporate
rating analysts with the ongoing monitoring of published credit ratings,
the assignment of new ratings, research publication commitments,
conference presentations and other analytical tasks. This position is
located in New York. Responsibilities: * Prepare financial spreadsheets,
including historical and projected financial statements and ratios *
Undertake fundamental research to support senior analysts in the rating
process * Produce analytical summaries of quantitative and qualitative
information for analysts (e.g. of issuer meetings or issuers' quarterly
earnings calls) * Contribute to the writing of in-depth reports and
publications * Prepare materials for speeches, conferences and
briefings * Minimum 3-5 years of credit analysis experience or
related experience from a recognized financial institution, audit firm
or consultancy. * Strong academic background (bachelor's degree
required; MBA preferable), with a focus on economics, finance or
business administration. * Experience in analyzing audited financial
statements * Background in basic industries analysis desirable *
Familiarity with legal documentation such as debt prospectuses and loan
agreements. * Strong financial modeling skills and advanced knowledge
of Excel are required. * Knowledge of PowerPoint is desirable. *
Strong organizational, communication and written skills * Must be a
self-starter, able to work independently and in a team and also against
business deadlines Steel-Mining-Chem-Paper MIS and MSS Candidates are
asked to disclose securities holdings pursuant to Moody's Policy for
Securities Trading. Employment is contingent upon compliance with the
Policy, including remediation of positions in those holdings as
