We currently are seeking a highly motivated Senior to support client engagement team in performing strategic analysis, defining client requirements, conducting industry research and evaluating business and technology trends, along with other related activities in the practice. Senior may also lead workstreams within larger engagements after demonstrating leadership capability and desire.

Our Information Technology Advisory Services (ITAS) practice provides business driven technology advisory services which include: technology strategy, technology enablement, information management services, market, credit and operational risk, security, program advisory, and process and controls. The ITAS team includes individuals who have deep industry, product and client knowledge.
 
Within ITAS our Strategic Technology Advisory Services (STAS) team focuses on IT Strategy and Management. This group works collaboratively with our clients to establish a business-driven vision for our clients' IT functions. Specifically, the IT Strategy and Management team works with C-Suite executives in the financial services industry to perform strategic assessments, define target state strategies and blueprints and develop strategic roadmaps/business cases to transform our client's IT organizations, processes, operating models, architectures and governance capabilities. STAS also partners with other Ernst & Young business advisory teams across capital markets, banking, insurance and asset management sectors to jointly develop business and IT transformation strategies to help our client's grow, manage risk, and operate more efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities
Establish relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels. Consistently deliver quality client services. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business.
  • Build trusted relationships as a strategic technology advisor with clients, and work internally across Ernst & Young advisory teams to help bring our clients the most comprehensive, end-to-end business and IT transformation services to effectively address their business challenges
Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Demonstrate ability to assimilate to new knowledge. Possess good business acumen. Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge.
  • Conduct complex, strategic analyses of our client's IT organizations, operating models, processes, applications and infrastructure and formulate strategic recommendations and roadmaps to improve our client's IT functions 
  
To qualify, candidates must have: 
  • a bachelor's degree and approximately 2 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 1-2 years of related work experience
  • a degree in computer science, engineering, accounting, finance or a related field; MBA or MS degree preferred
  • a minimum of 1+ years of experience working in the financial services industry or comparable experience working as an advisor to a financial services company; preferably with a strong consulting background in banking, asset management, capital markets or insurance
  • experience on strategic consulting engagements developing detailed, compelling and analytical PowerPoint/Excel/Word/Visio deliverables to convey complex thoughts and ideas to various stakeholders
  • strong demonstrated project/program management skills in a cross-functional coordination role
  • demonstrated ability to bring order to ambiguous situations; candidates must be able to document a client's issues and requirements, and through concrete analysis and insights drawn from past experiences with other clients, determine root causes and develop improvement plans
  • ability to describe complex problems and circumstances in a clear, concise and summarized manner to an executive audience
  • experience in developing advisory solution offerings and marketing assets preferred

  • experience in the sales process (i.e. proposal development, RFI/RFP responses, etc.)
  • broad knowledge of the IT function and how IT enables the business through effective strategic planning, governance and management discipline
  • knowledge of key IT management processes and industry frameworks (e.g. CMMI, COBIT,ITIL, Six Sigma, ISO 2700x, TOGAF, project management life cycles, systems development life cycles, PMBOK, Prince2, data center operations, etc.)
  • experience working with IT leadership (CIO, IT Director) and business leadership (CFO, COO, Business Unit President, etc.) to help shape and guide the IT strategic and improvement agenda
  • at least one certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA, CBCP, ITIL, PMP or other specialized IT certifications)
  • a willingness to travel to meet client needs
  • a valid driver's license in the US and a valid passport required; willingness and ability to travel internationally
