Investment bank looking for an entrepreneurial trader with a good track record in the LATAM bond space

Investment bank looking to hire a senior trader with at least 5 years of experience trading LATAM corporate credit bonds and/ or sovereign, or quasi-sovereign bonds.



My client is a leading investment bank who are in a very stable position and expanding their emerging markets desk. 



The candidate must have a proven track record of generating strong PNL figures market making LATAM corporate credit products. The candidate must be comfortable managing and taking own risk and will have been market making these products in a previous role on the sell side ideally.



Skills required :

 

• Responsible for a trading book overseeing LATAM corporate credit products.
• Develop trading strategies on emerging market bonds
• Market making for clients and managing proprietary positions on LATAM corporate credit bonds, sovereign, and quasi-sovereign bonds.
• Construct pricing models for fixed income bonds within the Emerging Markets
• Work closely with the Head of LATAM Strategy
• Dealing with clients, explaining trade ideas etc
• Push the sales force and help build the franchise
• Manage own risk
• Manage and develop desk tools and databases

                    

Skills / Attributes required:

• Minimum 5 years trading corporate credit bonds, sovereign, and quasi-sovereign bonds.
• Good PNL track record
• Experience managing and developing desk tools and databases
• Entrepreneurial and client facing, comfortable with explaining trade ideas etc
• Experienced using standard pricing tools: Bloomberg etc
