Job description

This role is for a Software Developer to work on the integration of the Smart Cloud Enterprise Plus (SCE+) service offering with SoftLayer. Candidates should have sound software engineering skills and understand structured modular architecture. Knowledge of cloud, multi-tenant environments, and IT service management principles (e.g. ITIL, Strategic Outsourcing) is desired. The developers will be working closely with high level IBM architects and members of the global Cloud Managed Services team to deliver prototypes and release offerings that integrate SCE+ with SoftLayer.

Required At least 5 years experience in Java Programing for distributed systems in highly available environments At least 1 year experience in Scripting language (e.g. PERL, PHP) At least 3 years experience in Software engineering skills in bulding structured, modular components At least 6 months experience in Agile development methodologies/practices Readiness to travel 10% travel annually English: Fluent

Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Engineering At least 5 years experience in Scripting language (e.g. PERL, PHP) At least 5 years experience in IT Service Management (ITIL) certification and/or equivalent knowledge of Strategic Outsourcing best practices At least 5 years experience in Lead in Setting the Technical Direction At least 5 years experience in Software engineering skills in bulding structured, modular components At least 5 years experience in Agile development methodologies/practices At least 2 years experience in Design of Cloud and/or multi-tenant environments Certified in ITIL
