Role Summary/Purpose	Lead and support all Materials activities related to the development, implementation and documentation of Commercial Quality processes of LED's operation to assure customer satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities	•Plan and direct the daily activities of materials function. •Individual will exercise independent judgment to ensure adequate Materials are available to meet production schedule commitments. •Lead activities in the Materials area to achieve plan RIP goals and ensure that raw and component materials are available for plant production. •Responsible for maintaining and using system (QAD, E-pdm, EPO, EMT). •Evaluate material and inventory levels through a variety of software applications to determine material orders. •Assist Commercial Quality Manager. •Facilitate all personnel needs including absences, payroll, overtime and schedules for assigned personnel. •Provide work direction, training and performance feedback to associates. Recommend disciplinary action and be involved in the administration of such action. •Participate in the selection and hiring of new associates. •Perform other duties and projects as required.
Qualifications/Requirements	•Education: BS degree in Business Administration, Accounting. •Five years in Manufacturing environment with material manufacturing experience. •Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. •Customer focus, high energy and aggressive approach to issues. •Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks. •Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and able to learn new systems quickly. •Strong communication skills both written and oral. fully bilingual, Spanish & English language fluency is a must. •Ability to interface with all levels of leadership (internal and external). •Able to use Six Sigma & Lean tools •Team player with good communication, organization and interpersonal skills •Results oriented and motivated to take on new challenges •Team leadership skills with an ability to effectively influence and motivate others •Strong project management skills •Ability to work effectively with all levels •QAD knowledge. •Ability to coordinate material logistics.
