We’re currently seeking qualified candidates to join our team in the position of: Pathology Account Executive (Lexington / Knoxville) Position Summary: Effective development and maintenance of pathology customer base; selling Genoptix products and services to new customer targets, including but not limited to hospitals and private pathologists; aligning sales and service goals with corporate objectives. The Pathology Account Executive is responsible for developing new business leads and generating referrals from new customer targets within a defined geography. The individual will also be the technical lead for a specified district supporting technical sales initiatives. This position is best defined as a flexible sales resource that focuses on pathology-specific product lines that are in alignment with the market and corporate strategy. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • In collaboration with the District Sales Manager and Regional Sales Director, evaluate and interpret market utilization data for services, including market share data, ensuring that sales priorities are identified. • In collaboration with the Marketing department, collect and analyze feedback to be used in the development of pathology-specific product and services. • Promote and sell medical diagnostic services to target physicians, medical assistants, lab managers in order to differentiate Genoptix from the competition. • Manage customer relationships in a defined geographical territory in order to strengthen the Genoptix brand. • Support district technical training initiatives by working with Oncology Sales Representatives and leading key technical initiatives. • Coordinate appropriate support resources (i.e., Client Services, MSL, MDs, etc) to maximize and strengthen customer relationships. • Maintain sales prospect lists/sales funnels as required to drive sales results. • Maintain a detailed customer database within the FLEX CRM system. • Design and implement Quarterly Business Plans for assigned geography. • Attend technical and sales training programs to further development competencies. • Manage company expenses within policy and defined budget. • Provide timely feedback to management regarding market trends, competitor activity, new product/service improvements. • Demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all customer/company interactions, respect patient confidentiality as per HIPAA regulations. • Attends trade shows as a representative of the Company in a sales/technical capacity. | |
| Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university in life science or healthcare administration focus. Master's degree in Health Administration, Business, or Economics preferred. Qualifications: • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive healthcare sales experience, preferably in pathology and diagnostic services • Extensive, documented experience selling directly to hospital pathologists and/or pathology groups • Solid understanding of cancer disease states, hematopathology, cell biology, and the routine and esoteric tests used to properly diagnose cancer • Successful completion of the Genoptix Core Competency proficiency module • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop an assigned sales territory with minimal supervision • History of routinely exceeding sales targets • Previous laboratory or clinical experience (Med Tech, Lab Tech, RN, NP, PA) preferred • Exceptional communication and presentation skills are required, both verbal and written Why you should work here: Genoptix offers competitive compensation and benefits programs that include vacation and sick pay, extensive medical insurance coverage, flexible spending accounts, 401 (k) with company match, childcare savings account, commuter benefits and much more!
