We’re currently seeking qualified candidates to join our team in the position of: Senior Sales Trainer Summary Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Sales Training, the Senior Sales Trainer will work with Field Sales Management, Product Management and external vendors to develop and deliver presentations on products and selling skills for all phases of training. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Note: Other duties may be assigned. •Work with supervisor to design and develop technical product curricula for both in-person and distance learning modules. •Create, update and deliver presentations that meet the educational and skill needs and objectives of the field sales organization and are designed according to adult learning principles that will result in improved overall productivity of the sales force and organization. •Review and modify existing training modules; develop curriculum and modules for new products as needed, based on changes in the business and participant evaluations. •Develop, build and maintain relationships with cross-functional departmental leaders/KOL’s as needed to obtain technical review of materials as well as to secure participation in training sessions. •Coordinate and manage training schedules and attendees. Track on-line education attendance. Complete all related support activities including developing classroom binders, sending meeting invitations, and coordinating guest speakers. •Manage external vendor relationships. Work with vendors as needed to provide guidance relative to training development requirements. Ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness of vendor-provided materials. •Serve as project lead for new product training, advanced training development and/or other related projects as assigned •Consistently monitor sales force knowledge and identify gaps in training. Conduct field sales observations. Develop and/or modify existing training to meet / re-inforce educational needs. | |
| Education: BA/BS degree, preferably in the area of Science required. Qualifications: •Minimum of three (3) years proven successful field sales experience in the pharmaceutical, diagnostic or medical device industry OR a minimum of three (3) years proven success in a similar technical/field training role. Experience in both field sales and technical training strongly desired. •Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, appropriate to the level of the audience. •Excellent interpersonal skills for working with technical leaders and external vendors. •Demonstrated experience designing and developing technical curriculum/training programs strongly desired. •Demonstrated understanding of the training and development process and adult learning methods strongly desired. •Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) applications. •Ability to accommodate approximately 25% travel including some weekends.
