GENERAL SUMMARY
Performs design, development, testing, analysis, and documentation of analytical experiments that model the anticipated performance of product concepts and enhancements. Performs experiment design and development, testing, analysis, and documentation of the performance characteristics. May perform analysis of existing and proposed components, as well as evaluation of enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing products. Assignments include testing and analysis of standard components, as well as evaluation of enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing products. Duties include designing experiments that adhere to rigorous standards, executing those experiments, evaluating and interpreting the results, and documenting work and analysis. May also solve complex problems in a rigorous manner, validating and documenting the work and analysis of relevant products or product concepts. May be responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets, and schedules and for documentation of work results.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works on unusually complex and sensitive problems and provides state of the art solutions, which are highly creative.
Determines requirements and functional specifications for entire systems and projects, under only consultative direction.
Use independent judgment to determine course of action and accomplish objectives.
Champions & develops innovative principles and ideas.
Serve as technology consultant and team leader.
