American Express is now providing Foreign Currency services at Boston's Logan airport. These new operations will provide Foreign Currency and pre paid card services to over 20 million passengers annually. We are currently recruiting a number of Team Leaders that will primarily require a flexible work schedule to maximize passenger penetration during high traffic flight times.

This person will manage the branch stock cash, prepare the surplus stock for disposal and list the requirements of foreign currencies and traveler cheques to be ordered. They will also supervise all staff working on the different shifts to achieve the optimum sales levels and give effective service to customers. This candidate will also ensure there is coaching and feedback to team members by following American Express performance management guidelines.

Responsibilities:

Lead a team of cashiers/representatives and build team spirit

*
Communicate with customers and colleagues with speed, accuracy and tact

*
Resolve customers service issues

*
Monitor all cashiers to ensure they adhere to company operating and security procedures

*
Check daily and weekly figures on reports

*
Carry out periodical spot checks and full counts on cashiers

*
Produce and analyze cashiers balances

*
Meet periodically with cashiers and evaluate performance through the appraisal process control

*
Be responsible for the organization of the branch (inside and outside): pamphlets, lighting, rateboards, clean counters, etc.

*
Monitor exchange rates of competition

*
Provide effective coaching to cashiers

*
Proactively promote company’s initiatives

*
Ensure that ATM's are operational at all times and take the appropriate actions in case of shut down

*
Maintain the adequate level of stocks of stationary to cover operational requirements

*
Any other assigned by management when required

Qualifications
-Deep knowledge of the express change system, global refund system, ATM's and alarms preferred
-Previous supervisory experience a must
-Must have cash handling and supervisory experience
-A good understanding of the mechanism of the rate of exchange movements
-Ability to create team spirit and ability to coach cashiers
-Superior people management skills
-Analytically & mathematically oriented
-Contributes ideas and efforts to improve processes
-Be flexible in the working environment and display a “can do” attitude
-Contribute ideas and efforts to improve processes
-Able to work as a part of a team and operating under pressure
-Take initiative to present to management customer service issues
-Must be able to work a rotating scheduling, 4 days on 2 days off.
-Must be able to work airport hours anywhere between 5am-12am.

Desirable:
-Fluent in other languages.
-Computer literate, preferably Windows/ Microsoft Office
-Ability to work flex hours/schedules if needed
