Ericsson’s North American OSS/BSS Engagement Practice is looking for
a Senior level business developer/solutions architect with sales,
business management, solution architecture and/or delivery experience
developing significant new and existing business, architecting broad
business solutions, and providing industry thought leadership in new
areas of growth in areas of OSS and/or BSS. The candidate must be
comfortable organizing and leading business and technical discussions
with customers from the technical level to the C-suite. The candidate
will also have experience in consultative selling, identification of
strategic, budgeted programs, generating new business demand, and
business case justification for new programs. The candidate will
develop/recommend technical solutions and commercial strategies, based
on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives and needs. The
candidate will have strong familiarity in communications service
provider functional business process areas such as Plan-to-Provision,
Order-to-Service and/or Trouble-to-Resolution in areas such as Revenue
Management, Planning & Engineering, Service Fulfillment &
Service Assurance. The individual should drive the thought leadership,
market requirements, offer development, and evangelize new innovative
solutions that address service provider needs and opportunities for
instance in the areas of network transformation, cloud, data analytics,
service agility, M2M etc. This is a senior level position reporting to
the Head of Ericsson’s North American OSS/BSS Engagement Practice.
The candidate will work directly with our key account managers and be accountable for driving new funnel opportunities, creating compelling & competitive offers using Total Cost of Ownership models, and progressing large, strategic key deals forward to closure. Execution will be towards key North American operators covering the Ericsson portfolio, third-party partner products, consulting, systems integration and IT managed services to meet/exceed the sales targets. This requires building strong relationships with the Ericsson account management teams internally, key customers decision makers and influencers, business units, collaboration with 3pp and other key stakeholders. The candidate will identify strategic market requirements and influence roadmap development of new OSS and/or BSS solutions in accordance to customer's requirements and feedback. The candidate will interface with the product management groups and development organizations to secure development of solutions that meet the customer's needs in a timely manner. The candidate will interface with strategy, marketing and delivery teams as well as global peer teams working on similar initiatives at other customer accounts to leverage experiences and new ideas across the organization.
Education / Experience / Competence Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science. 8+ years of OSS/BSS domain expertise with extensive knowledge of the wireless, wireline, cable, enterprise, IP communications and information technology marketplace. Demonstrated competence in engaging customers and industry with the ability to clearly articulate the state of communications service provider challenges, initiatives and direction. Experience within major OSS/BSS consulting, systems integration, independent software vendors and/or large communications service providers required.
Provide leadership and management to ensure a positive contribution to Customer Satisfaction, Profitable growth,
Shareholder Satisfaction and Employee Satisfaction. Must understand the financial reporting process and procedures from a market unit, regional, and global perspective.
Travel to customer sites within North America and occasional global travel required.
Effective interpersonal, presentation and communication skills; Strong ability to build relationships with customers and within Ericsson. Strong planning and organization skills. Effective within large, matrixed organizations, understanding of processes, and demonstrated ability to streamline activities to accomplish objectives. Team-player; Able to work in a Matrix management structure with excellent communication and negotiation/networking skills.
Effective leadership skills; High level solution understanding of services/networking/products; Experience in managing diverse teams both in a line and a matrix capacity.
