DHL currently has an opening for a casual/on call Service Agent at our San Diego, CA facility. The Service Agent will provide operational management and support at various service center locations to ensure efficient and timely pick-up and delivery handling of customer materials and shipments. The Service Agent will also ensure compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and company policies.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Provides operational support for the Service Center.
  • Assists with operational procedures including sorting, loading/unloading activities, shipment processing and documentation, manifesting, bagging, sending shipment status information.
  • May process or prepare import/export documentation and assist in the customs clearance process in some markets.
Key Requirements:
  • HS diploma or GED required.
  • Generally 1-3 years of experience in area of responsibility.
  • Intermediate service, production, or support role having greater responsibility to perform all (or most) of the standard work within the function.
  • Previous experience in industry preferred
  • Previous customer service experience preferred

Tasks are regularly performed inside without potential for exposure to adverse conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, fumes and/or poor ventilation, wetness, humidity, rain, temperature and noise extremes, machinery and/or moving vehicles, vibrations, electric currents, animals/wildlife, toxic/poisonous agents, gases or chemicals, oils and other cutting fluids, violence and/or disease, or pathogenic substances.
