American Express Company seeks Senior Manager, Global Risk Oversight in New York, NY to develop enterprise-wide risk analytics, aggregate and report risk types, identify key risks, and monitor enterprise-wide risk guidelines. Analyze risk-return trade-offs for large corporate deals and provide independent assessment of key risks, determining exposure and capital escalation thresholds for large institutional clients. Conduct reporting activities to risk committees including calculation and reporting of full economic capital, analyzing risk escalations, and tracking macro-economic indicators.
Qualifications
Position requires a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field, and 2 years experience in finance industry providing finance or risk management advisory services to large institutional clients. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field and 5 years progressively responsible experience in finance industry providing finance or risk management advisory services to large institutional clients. Demonstrated experience working with executive-level stakeholders is required. Experience must include credit, operational, or market risk, as well as knowledge of risk appetite and economic capital. Experience with risk assessments for large corporate deals; excel modeling; applying statistical methodologies, including volatility, correlation, and time-series analysis, is required.
