The Scientist, Assay Development will be in the Pharmacokinetics (PK) and Pharmacodynamics (PD) Assay Development group within the Biologics Clinical Pharmacology of the Biotechnology Center of Excellence. The PK/PD Assay group develops and validates assays to measure biopharmaceutical products and their targets (target engagement) in biological matrices from non-clinical and clinical studies. The primary responsibility for this position will be to develop and validate immunological methods for supporting nonclinical and clinical PK studies under GLP guidelines. Additional responsibilities include assay trouble shooting, development of new technology platform, and assay automation.

Qualifications


The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in life sciences or a related scientific discipline with minimal 3-year experience, or an MS with 7 years of experience in a relevant laboratory environment. Individuals with strong technical expertise in a variety of bioanalytical methods using different immunological and biochemical platforms are required. Experience using MSD, alphaLISA, protein affinity measurement (Biacore, Octet, Kinexia, Attana, or any other platforms) is preferred. Familiarity with automation platforms, high throughput screening, and DOE for assay development are preferred. The candidate must possess in depth knowledge in protein chemistry and biochemical principles of protein-protein interaction. The candidate must be able to work with human and animal blood specimens and has prior experience in characterization of serum proteins. The candidate must have excellent record keeping, writing and communication skills, customer-oriented mind set, project management experience. Candidate should demonstrate multi-tasking skills and ability to work under timelines and in a matrix environment. The position is currently located in Radnor, PA but will be moving to Spring House, PA by the end of the year.
