The Regional Manager drives the achievement of company sales, clinical and financial objectives, successfully manages~$25M to $30M revenue goals and quotas, Thinks strategically to create growth and gain competitive market share advantage, strong developer of talent, prudent risk taker, self-awareness and adaptability. Improves financial performance by effectively managing resources and regional budget, launches new items and executes promotional programs. In-depth market knowledge and development of customized go-to-market strategies that drive regional sales business growth, targets, greater market penetration, and focus in areas of high potential, i.e. geographical diabetes care centers, HCP practices. Implements best practices and systems that significantly improve business operations. This leader will ensure execution of the clinical strategy within the region through District Business Managers

The Regional Manager develops and manages a highly effective regional sales team of District Business Managers, Territory Business Managers and Clinical Managers to meet and/or exceed annual sales and clinical goals. Also plays a key role in the development of corporate strategic direction, sales policies and procedures. They are also responsible for developing strong pipeline of leadership via succession planning on a regional level.

The Regional Manager provides direction of strategic planning via collaboration with key internal stakeholder groups: Managed Market, Government & Reimbursement, Sales Development & Systems, Inside Sales (Outbound Sales Calls & Pump Processing), Sales Operations and Training, Key Distributor Relationships, Professional and Medical Affairs / Field Professional Relations, JJDI and Finance cross-functional partners, Customer Support (Insulin Delivery Pump & Consumables, Pump & Software Support), Corporate Clinical Operations (Training Services, Clinical Contract Management and Clinical Services Program Management),

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, the candidate must meet the following criteria: A minimum of a BA or BS degree is required; an advanced degree is highly preferred. A minimum of five years of field sales experience in the medical arena along with previous sales management experience is required. A minimum of ten years or related experience is required in Channel, Managed Markets, and Sales or Professional is required. A proven track record of delivering consistent results of successful leadership and strong interpersonal and communication skills are preferred to relate effectively with fellow employees, patients, referral sources, and health care professionals. The Regional Manager must have the ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Preferred experience in diabetes, endocrinology, insulin infusion pumps, managed care or related field. An intimate, passionate knowledge of diabetes is preferred. Solid computer skills are required. Once must have a valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 states and a clean driving record. The ability to travel as needed is required (approximately 60%).
