Principal SDE, File System Driver – Isilon/EMC

The
File System Driver (FSD) team is responsible for bringing high
performance, and scale-out benefits OneFS to clients. It is a core
component that will power multiple protocols such as SMB, NFS, and HDFS.
In addition to learning and becoming an expert in multiple protocols,
you have an opportunity to work on complex problems to do with high
performance and scale.
We
are looking for a person who is not only capable of working on hard
technical problems, but excels at cross team collaboration and providing
technical leadership to junior developers. If you are interested in

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and develop solutions to complex technical problems, that deal with high scale, concurrency, and performance.

Capable of working with multiple teams to get requirements, work out a detailed design and do high quality implementation.
In addition to building high quality software, drives quality across the team and the larger organization.
SKILLS
Proven ability developing software for complex systems.
Proven ability developing software for complex systems.
Experience working on multiple product cycles.
Good cross team collaboration skills.
Professional software development experience in C or C++.
Experience in Python, and/or other programming languages a plus.
Experience working on kernel and user mode is desirable.
REQUIREMENTS
BS or MS degree in Computer Science, or related fields.
At least five years of professional software development experience.
