Position Summary

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a sales or marketing position. OSS experience is required.
 
OSS Principal Product Manager
 
Responsible for the management of a large sub-function of the company that has a financial/business impact on the company. Contributes to the development of strategic plans for the organization and translates them into specific, prioritized initiatives. Develops innovative solutions and methods to accomplish these initiatives, and is responsible for driving them to successful results. Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Typically requires 12+ years of related experience with a BS.
 
  • Product strategy and roadmap, P&L and life-cycle management for the OSS SA products supporting engineering and inventory management functions for global telecommunications carriers and other verticals. Global products currently included are E/// Network Engineer, E/// Integrated Inventory, Granite Inventory, and E/// Customer Number Management.
  • Product pricing and price book management, including supply chain preparation, new product introduction and customer product information.
  • Business requirements, priorities and assignments to product development organization.
  • Support SA OSS investments based on product business case, business strategy and regional growth plans.
  • Responsible for product contribution in line with goals set under the business plan.
  • Identify and take corrective action when products are under performing.
  • Deep understanding of Operations Support Systems including processes, business and technologies (wireline and wireless).
  • Understanding of customer challenges and the ability to build senior-level customer confidence in our solutions and roadmaps.
  • Excellent product management skills with the ability to define OSS solutions that adapt to customer needs.
  • Excellent presentation skills to convey complex solutions in a clear and simple manner.
 
 
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience in technology product management, marketing or sales with emphasis on the telecommunications market.
  • Understanding of communications network technology and service provider operations environment, including trends and directions in the telecommunications industry.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Travel to customers and regional locations required (70-80%).
