Over the last 4 years Ericsson has invested billions of dollars to move from the #1 position in Wireless Infrastructure to take claim as the #1 in end-to-end Converged Infrastructure. There are not many players that have end-to-end capability. There are a whole host of challenges you face when creating a single, fully converged, infrastructure for Service Providers.
Team Description:
The focus of the Next Generation NMS will be on the management of the evolving networks getting always more and more complex (moving from the traditional hybrid networks to the SDN) and that for this reason are requiring more Intelligence, Automation, Near-real time Analytics, True Multi-layer and Multi-technology in the management systems in order to achieve a real effective and efficient network management.
Role and responsibilities:
Reporting to the Sr. Engineering Director for NG NMS within the PDU NMS, the NMS technical architect designer has the main responsibility working with system technology and product owner to design and implement the state of art and innovated software for the Next Generation NMS.

- Design and implement the software based on the system architecture requirements, SAD, technical descriptions.
- Communicating and working with cross functional team to design, develop and test codes according to requirements.
Characteristics of the Ideal Candidate:
- Hands-on knowledge of JEE environment (at least JEE5. JEE6 is preferred)
- Hands-on experience with EJB 3.x (SLSB, MDB, SFSB) and JMS in general.
- Practical knowledge of best coding/design practices and patterns, optimizations, scaling and clustering
- Hands-on experience with clustering in JEE environments, HA, replication and scale-out of backend JEE components
- Hands-on experience with at least one major JEE application server is required (JBoss is an advantage). Basic configuration and administration, deployment and optimization.
- Experience with distributed caching (Coherence, Infinispan) and other NoSQL systems
- Experience with REST and/or SOA
- Experience with workflow engines and business rules engines/CEP engines
- Knowledge of JMX, RMI, JCA, JPA, JTA, SQL, JEE security
- Knowledge of web GUI technologies (especially GWT) would be considered an advantage
- Linux system development
- Linux system administration (cobbler, puppet)
- Linux cluster technology (TIPC, high availability, OpenSAF)
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools and techniques such as:
- Junit, GIT, Jenkins, Nexus, and / or Sonar
- Strong IP routing protocols, MPLS, L2/L3 VPN knowledge and hands on experience.
- Transport protocols knowledge
- TMF/3GPP Information Model knowledge
- Excellent communications skills and stakeholder management capability
- Excellent written and oral skills
- Self-driven with ability to work under strict timelines
