JOB SUMMARY
To lead Operator Telecom Cloud related consulting and systems integration efforts in planning, design and implementation of Telecom Operator Cloud-based solutions for service providers.  The selected candidate should be able to develop offers, value propositions, architect solutions, effectively work across Ericsson organizations and lead Cloud project delivery efforts.   

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop strategic plans, Consulting Service Offers, and use cases for implementing Operator Telecom Cloud architectures in Service Provider’s network.  Also to follow and keep abreast of industry activities, trends and standard bodies regarding Cloud activities. The candidate will also be expected to provide delivery on Operator Telecom Cloud consulting projects. 

Lead a team of Subject Matter Experts in IP Broadband, Data Centers, Virtualization and SDN to support strategic opportunities arising from customers in Regions that want to virtualize telecom network functions (e.g., IMS, Packet Core, User Data Management) in a Cloud architecture
Develop effective collaborations with other Consulting , Systems Integration and Implementation organizations in Ericsson around Cloud solutions
Possess extensive knowledge regarding the data center functions, such as computing, storage, Virtual Machines  and Cloud functions  and be able to apply this knowledge in offer development or consulting engagements
Familiarity with closely related technologies and industry initiatives including Open Networking Forum’s SDN technology/standardization work, ETSI Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), IETF's SDN related Workgroups and be able to apply in the context of Telecom Cloud engagements
Develop strategic plans and collaborate with product development organizations for Cloud initiatives such as:  Data Center Evolution, Data Center Optimization,  Software Defined Data Center Build, Cloud Technology Consulting, Virtualization of Network Functions in Cloud Architecture
Familiarity with Ericsson Cloud strategy and Service Provider Telecom Cloud strategy, which will be useful in supporting consulting projects in the area of Wide Area Network
 
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

A scientific or technical degree is required.  In general, candidates for this job would have the following levels of experience:

MSc.  (Preferred) and over 7 years of experience in support of products and consulting activities in the area of Telecom industry,  IP  Broadband, Enterprise Data Center and Cloud
BSc. and over 10 years of experience in support of products and consulting activities in the area of Cloud, Data Center,  IP Broadband or Mobile Networks for Telecom networks
Experience in developing offers, value propositions, and leading delivery efforts related to  Cloud architectures,  Data Center Migration/Optimization and IP Broadband
Expertise with virtualization, hypervisor (ESX,KVN) and management layer (VMware and/or OpenStack), technical solutions architecture background (server, storage, and/or network virtualization
Fundamental understanding of technical and business drivers for Telecom virtualization and supporting business cases for delivery of Cloud offering sold as services (e.g., IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
Knowledge of potential telecom virtualization functions (e.g., IMS, Packet  Core)
Knowledge of specific requirements for Telecom Cloud environment (e.g., reliability, latency, heterogeneous equipment deployment)
Detailed knowledge of hardware and software products used in Operator Telecom Cloud environments (e.g., EMC/VMware, Cisco, Sun, Oracle, Symantec product portfolios)
Experience in architecting/designing Cloud architectures (e.g., Operator Telecom Cloud, IT Cloud, Cloud Service Offerings)
Expertise in Data Centers with transformation to Cloud experience such as:  Software Defined Networks, Software Defined Data Centers, Network Function Virtualization, Data Center transformation, Data Center security
Understanding of Data Center build, operation and relocation Best Practices and processes
Willingness and ability to adopt and learn new technologies and business models
Experience in managing and delivering consulting projects 
Track record of cross organization collaboration in creation of IT and/or Enterprise solutions
Outstanding written and oral communications skills and ability to effectively interact with C-level executives
50% travel required
