We are currently seeking talented Lead Supply Chain Strategic Alliance Manager for our San Antonio, TX facility.

PURPOSE OF JOB 
Performs the critical role of serving as the Global Services Delivery (GSD) front door and primary interface to assigned Business Units customers for all third party needs. Responsible for providing consulting, governance, leadership and delivery support services to enable the lines of business and staff areas to better define, develop, assess, implement and manage all third party relationships, holistically across USAA, by leveraging a breadth of capabilities across the organization. Provides customer consultation often involving highly complex and unique third party matters including sourcing alternatives and solutions.
JOB DUTIES
  • Establishes strategic partnerships and maintains effective relationships between Global Services Delivery department and assigned company business unit(s) and manages stakeholder interests including but not limited to CFO, HR, IT, and Legal. Applies expert knowledge and provides consultation services to internal clients in areas of sourcing, supplier management, third party risk management, and global operations. Collects and consolidates demand and identifies opportunities by business portfolio, vertically within the home office and/or horizontally across the enterprise. Understands the customer market strategy and proactively identifies and confirms business requirements.
  • Provides market intelligence by domain and business unit, and strategic sourcing alternatives and solutions to enable USAA's growth
    strategy and help achieve business objectives. Oversees and may lead all phases of the sourcing process for strategic and/or change the business type sourcing projects.
  • Utilizes advanced leadership, collaborative and influencing skills in interacting with customers, suppliers, and team members. Manages complex interactions involving suppliers, customers, and the overall needs of the business units and the organization.
  • Manages and optimizes assigned compnay portfolio(s) and integrates as applicable across the enterprise to ensure alignment with company target state. Builds appropriate roadmap, strategy, and plans.
  • Enables and supports third party compliance and regulatory adherence consistent with enterprise and/or business units supply chain risk requirements and regulatory mandates.
  • Serves as the sourcing/procurement expert, providing direction to others on complex issues and mentoring other enterprise integration team members. Will mentor and coach other Global Service Delivery team members.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned in support of enterprise integration.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or four years of strategic supplier sourcing experience.
  • 10+ years supplier sourcing experience in strategic and highly complex and often unique third party solutions.
  • Strong client relationship management, analytical, presentation, negotiation, project management and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated success in working in a highly-matrixed environment.
  • Expert knowledge of data analysis tools and industry data source.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools and applicable business software.
Preferred
  • Master's or Advanced degree.
  • Professional designation in sourcing, project management, alliance management.
  • Sourcing background in Alliances to include carrier/broker relationships.
  • Product development and product management experience.
  • Experience in Business Process Outsourcing.
