This position will join the overall Business Unit IT relationship team for the Law Department. The Law department is responsible for oversight of all legal related activities across all of Johnson & Johnson’s operating companies. Some of their responsibilities include litigation, intellectual property (patent and trademark protection), regulatory matters, contract creation and review, health care compliance, business develop and mergers and acquisitions.

This position is primarily responsible for the Intellectual Property and the Corporate Secretary group. The position includes significant interaction with legal business partners, interfacing with IT application vendors and accounts payable on financial issues. This role will be responsible for partnering with the Corporate Law department, business process owners, I/T Shared Services, Global Account Management, Compliance and the IT PMO to champion efforts to drive innovation and progress on system improvements. Product review and vendor management are key activities. The position will have high levels of visibility and interaction with senior leadership across the enterprise.

The following tasks are part of the IT Senior Analyst responsibility: Customer-facing role, interacting with clients to identify opportunities for using technology as an enabler to improve, automate, simplify business processes and optimize total cost of ownership; Functioning as a leader for technology and applications and ensuring business partners are aware of new and emerging technologies. This includes IT planning and support at the annual shareholders meeting as part of the Corporate Secretary program; Conducting research on current legal processes and best practices, benchmark with other internal J&J companies and external partners, and determine application of new technologies in the business partner organizations. This may include evaluating and implementing new technologies.

Additionally, the IT Senior Analyst will be responsible for the following: Developing and maintaining a rolling 18-month release-plan roadmap; Driving business process improvement initiatives and championing the change management efforts of IT initiatives within the business partner community; Performing design, gap analysis, prototyping, test script authoring, execution, and deployment activities as needed for business applications; Continuously managing business partner expectations; Providing written and verbal communication including status reports, progress reports, and documentation to IT management and business partners; Ensuring SLA's are being met and revisited where appropriately and meet expectations of the business partners; Consistently demonstrating knowledge seeking and sharing behaviors across IT organizational boundaries in the performance of daily work; applying principles, concepts, and practices of the J&J Global Leadership Profile for the IT Senior Analyst.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Information Management or related field. A minimum of 3 years of IT experience is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. The ability to interact effectively with senior management is required. Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills are required. Ability to manage multiple, complex priorities and collaborate with other functions is required. Ability to provide training to other associates as needed and provide project leadership is preferred. Ability to work independently and on team projects is required. Ability to understand the relationship between technology and business, and translate business requirements into viable project solutions is required. Understanding of web based applications and relational databases are required. Experience managing and supporting large applications is preferred. Experience managing small projects is preferred. Cognos and/or SOX application experience is preferred.
