The Global Digital Marketing Strategy Director develops ACUVUE® Brand and multi-brand digital marketing strategies, platforms and programs for our consumer, eye care professional and key accounts audiences that support our business and marketing objectives.

The Global Digital Marketing Strategy Director will evangelize consumer and customer-centric digital best practices in digital creative and content development, consumer insights, integrated communications planning, development, measurement and other key digital marketing activities.

The ideal candidate is a digital generalist with a strategic mindset and hands-on digital implementation experience garnered at a digital agency, on a media brand or is a CPG marketer.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the global digital business owner and be accountable for effectiveness of digital campaigns, programs and partnerships with third party agencies, media and technology partners; Develop digital objectives, strategies and budget allocations as part of annual business planning; Provide recommendations to Global Marketing teams in regions within franchise on digital marketing strategies, priority setting, creative briefs and creative reviews; Work with Global Strategic Insights to execute market research that uncovers consumer and eye care professional insights related to digital media attitudes and usage behavior; Drive global analytics reporting to measure and report on success and digital ROI of digital programs and partnerships; Work with J&J Global Media Group and Procurement to recommend and evaluate digital agencies and partners; Act as a partner to J&J Digital Center of Excellence to uphold digital standards and best practices; Provide POVs on existing and emerging digital marketing channels and tactics as a tool to help brand marketers evaluate digital marketing opportunities available; Manage, train and develop Brand Digital Marketers within franchise.

Qualifications


A Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or Master's degree is a plus. A minimum of 12 years total business experience with 5 years experience working in digital marketing for a CPG Marketer or Digital Agency is required. Comprehensive understanding of the digital ecosystem and how web, mobile, social, search and e-commerce channels work together to optimize behavior, acquisition and sales required. Strong understanding of integrated marketing and the role digital plays in the marketing mix required. Familiarity with segmentation, analytics and a general comfort with numbers; direct experience with web measurement/analytics a plus. Prior experience in people management required.

A passion for understanding the consumer/customer mindset and keeping up with media and technology trends; exceptional consumer/customer insight skills and the ability to translate those insights into business ideas is required. The ability to clearly articulate and present strategies, recommendations and results to team members across the globe and senior management is required. Strong management skills with proven ability to drive projects to successful completion - on time and within budget are required. Able to be an individual contributor, willing and eager to work in a hands-on capacity is required. A leader and team-builder with a passion for working with creative people is mandatory. The ability to collaborate successfully and build relationships with internal teams, suppliers and agencies is required. The ability to drive recommendations and consensus across regions is essential. Exceptional writing, communication/presentation and influence skills are also required. Up to 20% Travel is required.
