Job Summary
Software and programming within the RNAM Supply and Logistics organization supporting business automation and analytics.
 
Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Work individually or as part of an agile team to translate business requirements into workable programming or database code, developing and maintaining programs for use in operational business environment.
• Establish a detailed program specification through discussion with clients on what actions the program is intended to perform.
• Break down program specification into its simplest elements and translate this logic into a programming language, devising solutions to anticipated problems.
• Working as part of a team, which may be established purely for a particular project, to write a specific section of a program.
• Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure the program can be used easily, quickly and accurately.
• Conduct testing and installation of the program into production, reacting to problems and correcting the programs.
• Evaluate and increase the program's effectiveness, adapting the programs to new requirements.
• Write detailed documentation for the operation of the program by users.
• Consult manuals, periodicals and technical reports to learn new ways to develop programs and maintain existing skills and knowledge.
• Update, repair, modify, and improve existing software and database applications.

 
Core Competences

• Extensive programming experience in one or more major programming languages.
• A mastery of object oriented programming, particularly with Python.
• Experience with data structures, algorithms and complexity analysis.
• Good verbal and written communications skills, all-around team player.
• Understanding of Data warehousing and Relational Databases.
• Strong backend development skills with ability to learn new tech quickly. -6 years of development experience (may substitute up to 4 years of experience with education)
