Reporting to the Marketing Director BGM NPD Pipeline, the Associate Director Marketing, BGM Pipeline, Sustaining will manage post-launch lifecycle actions including product enhancements and optimizations, global expansions of system skus, and driving end of life process. The individual will partner with R&D, regulatory and operations to optimize product performance, organizational efficiency and maximize ROI, across our $2B worldwide in-market OneTouch Blood Glucose Monitoring product line. The individual should be business and strategy focused and an effective marketer, with a demonstrated ability to manage a complex portfolio within a matrix organization. Ultimately, this role will have a significant influence to drive our existing product lines to deliver on revenue, product costs and market share goals.

This person will serve as the global marketing representative to our cross-functional product Stewardship team, in conjunction with Franchise Operations, R&D, and Project Management. The Stewardship team's goal is to jointly managing our in-market product portfolio, and includes reviewing proposals/ new requests and align those requests to our global priorities and budgets. This person needs to be able to manage complex global issues, should they arise, for instance, serving as the key global marketing lead during a product action or recall. The individual needs to have experience working within a new product development governance process and will to serve on multiple, cross functional projects teams as an influential leader. This person should have deep experience with concept and claims development. The individual will be a key strategic contributor to the global future portfolio planning effort. The individual will liaise with & support global Demand Generation marketing team. This person will ensure successful customer brand experience, increasing customer loyalty to our products and our brand.

They will facilitate global communication to obtain alignment across work teams and support regional commercial business needs for business growth, and support in market products with update / new claims that drive and/or protect revenue and share growth.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelors Degree is required, with a Post Graduate Degree (Masters or higher) being strongly preferred. A minimum of 7 years of product management and marketing experience in consumer healthcare or medical device is required. Fundamental marketing skills (i.e. branding, positioning, claims, packaging & messaging) are required. Classically trained consumer marketing experience a plus. Diabetes blood glucose monitoring (BGM) category experience a plus. Demonstrated understanding of patient, healthcare provider, and payer needs is required. Demonstrated track record of driving new product launches is required. Must excel at interdependent partnering in cross-functional teams; with strong presentation and communications skills. Demonstrated ability to lead without authority capability is required. Up to 20% domestic and/or international travel may be required.
