Job Location: Reston, VA
We
seek an experienced HR Manager to support the Products organization of RSA, the
Security division of EMC. This position is responsible for providing
comprehensive HR support varying from strategic human resources activities to
tactical day to day human resources support. Strong emphasis on organizational
leadership and development, program management, and employee relations. Customer
groups supported will include primarily engineering and product management
teams.
Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:
• The
Senior HR Manager will be expected to provide direction and counsel to senior
members of a the leadership team, as well as all levels of employees to
proactively anticipate, prevent and resolve a wide area of HR issues.
• Actively
engage in operational and strategic business planning activities, providing
proactive human resources solutions to meet organizational needs.
• Provide
effective coaching on a wide variety of HR related topics to all levels of
management and staff.
• Ability
to build strong relationships and maintain a “pulse” of the organization.
Proactively identifying organizational needs and offering HR solutions to help
advance organizational and employee success.
• Lead
organizational development activities to develop and enhance current
organizational capabilities, focused on helping the business grown and operate
more efficiently across multiple locations in the US and internationally.
• Partner
with global HR partners and global BU teams (India, Australia, Israel as well
as multiple locations in the US).
• Partner
closely with finance and other functional organizations on a variety of
business activities including staffing and other activities as required.
• Program
management in areas including employee performance, development and succession
planning, stock option planning, and annual compensation review.
• Provide
individual and group training on a variety of HR tools and topics as required.
• Develop
retention and pro-active sourcing strategies for key skill sets.
• Counsel
employees and managers on performance management issues.
• Contributes
to the support and implementation of corporate-wide policies, procedures,
systems and initiatives.
• Maintains
current knowledge base of legal and regulatory trends, in order to effectively
counsel organization leaders and reduce potential business liabilities.
• Provide
M&A support including due-diligence and integration support activities as
required.
Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s
degree with a minimum of 7+ years of experience as an HR business partner.
• Master’s
degree preferred.
• Experience
in the high tech industry supporting a technical client base.
• Experience
supporting global facilities/organizations and teams preferred.
• Strong
analytical and software skills – must be well versed in Excel, PowerPoint,
PeopleSoft, ATS.
• High
energy and superb follow-through.
• Must
have excellent judgment and conflict management skills.
• Must
be comfortable working through ambiguous situations and advising senior
management on appropriate course of action.
• Must
have ability to influence at all levels.
• Excellent
ability to communicate, both in writing and verbally.
• Strong
organization and project management skills, comprehensive tact and discretion.
