Requires strong skills in system programming, memory management, multi-threaded programming, synchronization, data structures and algorithms. A back ground in designing scalable, high performance products and knowledge of file systems and storage is a big plus
Responsible for designing, implementing and supporting changes to Data Domain's Extended Retention feature. This feature allows a Data Domain appliance to be segregated into two tiers of backup storage, with a larger tier of less expensive storage for long term retention.
