Position Purpose

JTI USA is presently seeking a Marketing Promoter to promote our  brands in the retail environment by creating awareness, trial and purchase in the Pittsburgh, PA region of the United States. 

Responsibilities

• Visit retail outlets in assigned geography to promote JTI products
• Work with internal colleagues and external business partners in the planning of retail events
• Implement/execute/ perform selling activities.  This includes product placement, POS placement and partnering with consumers.
• Cultivate existing retail relationships and source new business development opportunities along with local Sales Representative.
• Consultative account management of new and existing client base.
• Report all switch-sell activities including competitive, and potential opportunity in the trade

Qualifications & Experience

Requirements & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / Associates degree or equivalent experience.
• 6 months to 1 year of customer service or outside business-to-business sales experience with proven success.
• Experience in selling to retailers, Wholesalers and Distributors in the Consumer Products industry is preferred.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Self-starter with demonstrated strong work ethic.

·         Must be able to lift 20 pounds
·         Occasional work on  weekends
·         Must be able to stand for long periods of time
·         Must have a valid driver’s license
·         Must be willing to travel
