  Job  Description
 
As a member of Platform Development Technologies, you will contribute to vApp development through research and collaboration with other R&D and BIRD teams.  Primary responsibilities will include vApp update process research using PDT tools (i.e. SAS App Engine), writing and managing automated builds for vApps (Jenkins), and supporting improvement in development/release process at SAS.

Qualifications

 
Essential
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
  • Two years of software development/programming experience.
Additional
  • Good communication, written and organizational skills.
  • Ability to grasp new technologies quickly.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
Preferences
 
  • 2+ year’s scripting language experience – Ruby, Groovy or Python preferable; comfortable digging into tracebacks and prototyping for automation
  • 5+ year’s linux system administration
  • Familiarity with version control systems (i.e. git)
  • Familiarity with automation (i.e. Jenkins)
  • SAS Planning and ordering applications experience
  • SAS SDW/Config experience
  • VA install/testing experience
