Description
Working
under limited supervision, greets visitors to a USD Division office:
coordinates sign in, security, contact with party visitor wants to see;
and provides general information. Performs HR and other clerical duties
as directed. Does not require instructions for routine assignments;
requires some general instructions for new or special assignments.
Adapts existing work methods to different situations.
1.
Greets, registers customers, clients, vendors, employment applicants
and other visitors; controls visitor access beyond lobby; and provides
telephone extensions and supplies general information, inclusive of
contacting appropriate employees.
2.
Performs clerical duties as directed, including updating employee
addresses in Lawson, processing employment background checks, scheduling
candidate interviews, and picking up and sorting the daily mail.
3. Orders and receives office supplies and provides other clerical support as assigned.
Required:
High
school diploma or equivalent and typically a minimum of two plus years
of progressively more responsible office clerical/receptionist
experience. Requires a demonstrated knowledge of the practices and
procedures of the function. Demonstrated oral and written interpersonal,
communication, organizational skills. Must be capable of handling
multiple assignments. Demonstrated proficiency in operating a personal
computer. Basic experience with word processing and spreadsheet
software. Ability to use discretion and handle sensitive/confidential
information.
Desired:
AA degree in Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent. Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
