The Sr. Training Manager, Managed Care position will utilize knowledge of managed markets to ensure relevant training programs for the field-based Managed Care & Customer Operations (MCCO) & Government Affairs (GA) field team account managers, with emphasis on core competencies, Account Management Excellence, business/acumen, marketplace and reimbursement knowledge. In this role the Sr. Training Manager will partner with relevant internal departments, including MCCO leadership, Payer Team (PT), Channel Strategy Management (CSM), Customer Operations Account Management (COAM) and GA leadership, Managed Care Marketing, Commercial Training & Development (CT&D), and Legal.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstration of ability to collaborate and negotiate business solutions in a complex and fast-paced, matrix environment
- Partner with internal teams for the development and delivery of managed care and reimbursement training in alignment with MCCO & GA vision and strategy
- Identify and effectively manage external vendors and internal resources for collaboratively developing training programs
- Employ project management principles and structures to effectively deploy training solutions
- Serve as subject matter expert in triaging questions related to MCCO & GA field teams
- Refine existing curriculum to align with evolving business priorities
- Serve as key member of training and implementation teams for key MCCO & GA initiatives
- Analyze, design, develop and evaluate training solutions, including interactive instructor-led courses, self-instruction, online learning, job aids, and other performance-based solutions
- Engage key stakeholders and leaders to ensure readiness for training by creating buy-in
- Lead or participate in projects designed to improve training and learning throughout Commercial, applying standards, performing needs assessments and evaluations, designing, developing, and delivering training, as appropriate
- Market programs to ensure awareness and proper utilization
- Create metrics and assess impact of training programs
- Lead the creation of training materials that are educationally effective (format, readability, logical flow and alignment to learning objectives)
- Develop and implement appropriate pull-through plans to ensure continued utilization of learning initiatives
Who You Are
QUALIFICATIONS- BS/BA in business or training related area. MBA or MA/MS preferred.
- 6 or more years experience in the pharma/bio-tech field
- 5 or more years experience in managed care, marketing, reimbursement, or account management
- Training delivery and/or instructional design experience a plus
- High competency in the following areas: highly collaborative, strong oral and verbal communication, excellent multi-tasking, planning, process and project management, effective decision making, results-oriented, exceptional strategic agility and organizational savvy, ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Strong meeting management and group process facilitation skills, with ability to structure small- and large-group meetings to achieve pre-defined objectives
- Exceptional ability to identify behavioral and knowledge gaps for the develop of training
- High degree of customer-focused sensitivity toward internal and external customers and business partners
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships throughout all levels of the organization
