Lead the mechanical support of fluorescent lamp manufacturing equipment.
Provide work direction to shop and maintenance Personnel across a continuous operation.
Evaluate shop personnel performance, and provide feedback to employees.
Have a basic understanding of machining processes: turning, milling, welding, grinding, etc.
Have a strong mechanical aptitude, and excellent root cause analysis skills.
Lead major maintenance jobs through all phases (planning, staffing, execution, verification, and start-up).
Drive the identification, documentation, and completion of all preventative maintenance tasks.
Manage all equipment install, and redesign projects through all phases
Lead effort to switch machine made parts to Low Cost Suppliers with no negative impact to operations.
Work across all 3 shifts to have a solid understanding of day-to-day operations.
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related degree.
Proven project management experience.
Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience.
Proficient in AutoCADor similar drafting/3Dmodeling software.
Willingness to take on challenging assignments in all areas of the plant
Willingness to spend a significant amount of time on the
manufacturing floor to understand the issues the mechanics, and
operators face on a daily basis.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to influence and drive change/results.
Must possess a high level of motivation and resourcefulness.
