Apple
is looking for a Display Engineer to lead the development activities to
design and develop innovative LCD’s used in MacBook and iPad products.
This individual will be working on LCDs both at the component and system
level, serving as a focal point between system design team and the
display suppliers, managing all activities necessary to deliver displays
into final products from initial concept to production.
Core Responsibilities:
This individual will serve as a focal point in designing, developing,
characterization and optimization of the LCD optical performances for
the portable displays. The individual will be responsible for the
overall display module development acting as Direct Responsible
Individual
•Investigate up-to-date LCD technologies and generate new approaches to
further enhance Apple portable display optical performances
•Define and review the overall module optical architecture (both LCD
& backlight) & performance requirements
•Achieve performance goals through optical design optimization,
utilizing optical simulation tools (such as LightTools and ASAP) and
prototyping
•Define & implement rigorous validation plan for a total display
optical performances
•Work with system engineering team to understand system and validate
display modules at system level
•Work with project teams and supply base throughout product development
phase and support the initial product ramp.
Education
Education:MS in Physics or Optics with minimum 3 years experience, or BS degree plus a minimum of 5 years experience
