iCloud team is looking for a Load and Performance Test Engineer to test
the software which forms the foundation for some of our most exciting
iCloud products and services.

Description
The
iCloud team is looking for a Load and Performance Test Engineer to test
the software which forms the foundation for some of our most exciting
iCloud products and services. Your background should be a good blend of
Software Development and System Administration. You must be a
proactive, motivated engineer with strong scripting and programming
skills with a solid background in performance test development. In this
position, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with
cross-functional engineering teams that define and implement some of the
core backend platform frameworks and systems that will power the next
generation of Apple’s web services.
Responsibilities
- Be able to take a strong role in management of individual projects and
report status.
- Analyze product requirements, create test plans, and identify
deliverables.
- Execute testing tasks and report status, escalating issues as
appropriate.
- Coordinate and lead efforts for group testing tasks on a project
basis.
- Proactively solve problems, suggest process improvements.
- Identify project risks and recommend actions to minimize risk.
- Share knowledge with peers, mentor less experienced team members.
Education
BS or MS in Computer Science or Information Technologies and/or equivalent industry experience
Additional Requirements
- Experience developing load tests by tracing traffic between client and server systems.
- Experience with a scripting language - python/ruby/perl/etc.
- Experience troubleshooting unix based systems and supporting infrastructure.
- Experience with a load generation tool such as Proxy Sniffer, JMeter, or Load Runner.
- Experience with Linux/Unix/Mac OS.
