My client is one the world's leading hedge funds based in New York City Area and due to ongoing growth and success they are now looking to add a Senior Java Software Engineer to the team to expand the group's innovative approach to Trading Systems Development. More specifically you will be assigned to creating new and dynamic customer-facing trading applications utilising exceptional front-end development skills in Core Java and/or corresponding back-end services for them. The Senior Java Software Engineer should embrace the challenge of developing complex real-time solutions. This role is essentially heavily focused towards the designing, building and optimization of intricate trading applications.
Senior Java Software Engineer - Trading Systems Development, Global Leading Hedge Fund will require the following skill-set;
- Excellent Core Java fluency
- Strong Java GUI toolkits (Swing, AWT or similar); this could be substituted with strong desire to learn Swing/AWT and related technology
- BS Computer Science or higher
- Good communication
- Some financial knowledge a plus but not a prerequisite
- Front-End / Back-End Development
Responsibilities for Senior Java Software Engineer - Trading Systems Development, Global Leading Hedge Fund;
- Expand the group's innovative approach to Trading Systems Development.
Create new and dynamic customer-facing trading applications utilising exceptional front-end development skills in Core Java and/or corresponding back-end services for them.
- Develop complex real-time solutions.
