The Information Security Policy Assurance
Analyst works with GECC’s Information Security teams and GE Capital
Businesses to in support of the Capital Security Policy Program. This
role involves interfacing with GE Information Security, IT and Business
leaders and staff to ensure overall Security Policy Program objectives
are executed consistent with Program expectations and support the
business and regulatory requirements and meet GECC quality standards.
The
Information Security Policy Assurance Analyst is responsible to drive
the execution of policy program tasks with an emphasis on policy
assurance tasks including gap assessments and controls development.
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Manage highly collaborative creation efforts for creating
and implementing controls against Global Information Security Policies
and Standards
Conduct compliance gap assessments against both proposed and issued requirements
Drive completion of Security Policy Program tasks with attention to detail and integrity
Execute and improve effectiveness of compliance against
requirements including metrics , issue tracking and remediation to
identified gaps
Strong written skills required for preparation of policy-related documentation and deliverables
Strong collaborative tools and office automation skills with the ability to manage on-line forums, portals and sites
Ensure program goals and objectives are being met
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Problem escalation/Corrective Action analysis and recommendations
Strong written skills required for preparation of documentation, deliverables, proposals, and reports
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (or high school diploma/GED and minimum 4
years of relevant work experience) with minimum 4+ years of IT
experience
Strong problem solving abilities
Strong understanding of Information Security best practices, processes and solutions
Experience managing programs across a global, highly matrix organization
Proven track record of executing global strategies and programs
Excellent communications and influencing skills, extremely strong English language skills
Ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical users
General knowledge of financial services regulatory environment including FFIEC, GLBA and Sarbanes-Oxley
Working knowledge of a broad range of current IT security platforms and technologies
